Juco

The wonderful tradition of Juco has been going on for more than 50 years. Baseball has been called the ultimate American pastime, and we are lucky enough to have this big event in Grand Junction. Junior colleges come from all over the country just to compete here. The cost for a single game ticket is $8 but you also can buy all season passes: Adult - $35 (19 games) Student / Senior - $25 (19 games). With a only few days left, make sure you join in on this wonderful tradition of our town!

Lincoln Park Pool and Waterslide

Lincoln Park Pool is a 50 meter outdoor pool which includes the largest water slide in Grand Junction. This pool also has a 1 meter and 3 meter high diving boards and a separate shallow area for younger kids. There is also a large grass area great for other activities and it offers shade. If that's not enough, you can find a concession area where you can get snacks and drinks. The hours are Mon. - Fri. 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Closed Sunday. With its reasonable prices, this makes Lincoln Park Pool a fantastic place to go this summer!

Mother's Day

With Mother's Day right around the corner the hustle and bustle begins from planning and gift finding. If you are looking for an event there is the Mother's Day pancake breakfast at the Mesa County Fair Grounds and begins at 7:00 A.M. Also there is a Mom's Day 5K Run/Walk. This allows you to honor Mom's on this special day by spending quality time on a beautiful scenic route while giving back to local charities. Overall this day is to show appreciation to the mothers who love and care for us.

The Grand Mesa

Western Colorado has so much to offer in outdoor activities. One of these is the Grand Mesa, which is astonishingly the world's largest flat topped mountain. Only being a short drive away from Grand Junction makes this a great place to visit. This world record holding mountain has over 300 lakes which constitutes great fishing opportunities. There are many hiking and walking trails here which range from easy to some extreme hiking. It is also a very scenic place to relax and have a picnic. Look for stunning wildflowers in the summer and brilliantly colored Aspen trees in the fall. The Grand Mesa can certainly be considered a gem of Western Colorado and is highly recommended to visit.
